Media blasting

No people, I haven't sold my car and sold my soul to Jesus (must be worse than selling it to the devil?). It's just at the media blaster and hopefully it will be back soon. Took it there on the 13th of March but he had alot to do so he would take care of it as soon as he got time.

Also, I went to the paint shop and bought 4L of epoxy primer so that I can spray on some primer as soon as it gets back. So soon it will be a one colored car, not a black car with a red door and some artistic touches of patina :p

I ordered a special GT500E t-shirt with this blog adress on the back and it arrived today, looks awsome. Heres a pic of it while you wait for the pics of the car :p

Rotissarie Completed

Now im done with the rotissarie. The chassi is mounted and spinning like a drunk hamster in a hamster wheel. No problem tilting it vertical, would probably turn a full turn but I dont see the point. Will probably be sent away for media blasting this week.

Rotissarie

Went to the garage yesterday and wielded together the rotissarie. Almost done now, just the fixtures that attatches to the chassi left. Going to finish it this week.

Rotissarie

Went to the garage today and started cutting the metal for the rotissarie. Had bought 12m of 50x50 and ended up with 4cm to spare. Missing some tubes, will hopefully fix those tomorrow and start wielding it up.

Total Dissembly

Went to the garage today and totaly dissambled the car. Cut away the cowl vent so that the media blaster can blast the inside, dissambled the front suspension, the passager door and all the other small things that were still attatched to the car. So all I have to do now is to build a rotassiere before I send the car of for media blasting. Took some pictures.

Race parts to the people

Today a container full of cars and race parts arrived from the states. Only found two packets that were mine, the front frame with radiatorsupport and a pair of torqueboxes. Didn't have time to check all the boxes so hopefully I will have some more stuff there to. Will check again tomorrow and see if anything else was mine.

Tomorrow I will start drilling out the cowl metal and maybe start building on a rotisserie (vagga). Will post more pictures this weekend.

Dual Quad and change of language..

Been thinking about doing this for a while now because of interest from other non-swedish speaking countries. So here it goes, im gonna make a test run in writing this blog in english. Or swenglish to be more correct. Hopefully no one will think this change is for the worse.

I bought two 750cfm Holley 4 port carburators today, found them on ebay for a nice price. They are nicely refurbished and from the looks of it, as good as new. And yesterday i drilled and cut out the very rusty dashboard. Gonna strip the car clean from parts that are still installed on it, like front suspension and so on. This is because I got hold of a guy who will media blast the car for me and hopefully I will be sending it off to him as soon as possible so I can start fixing some rust when it comes back.
