Passager floor done

Finished welding the passager floor today. Just need to grind the welds and make it look nice.
Ripped away the old floor frame too, was pretty messed up from the crash. Took the new one and primed its inside and put it in place, looks pretty good. Just need to weld it now.

Floor fully welded

Not the floor is fully welded, just some adjustments in the front and some grinding left.

New floor

Finished welding the fabricated piece today and took myself time to fit the new floor. Only had time to spot weld it in but it sure looks nice. Takes alot of time fitting the pieces when you don't want any overlap. Will finish welding it this week or this weekend.

Rust repair 2

Welded the firewall piece today, and made a piece for the part in the back of the floor that was thin. Welded it in to. Heres the pics.

Rust repair

Went to the garage today, unpacked some things I got with the latest container. Got alot of stuff like:
Two 750cfm Holley Carbs
The Cowl Panel
Two Bullet Mirrors
Interior handle kit
Fiberglas rear bumper
Hurst Competition Plus Shifter
And some more interior stuff.

I also took the time to fit a piece to the firewall and spot weld it in. Have some fitting left to do and after that more welding and then its in place. Blogger seems to have some problems so I cant upload pictures, will upload them next post instead.

There is a hole in the floor..

Went to the garage today and cut out the rusted floor. Was a pain in the ... but finaly it is out. Will fit in the firewall piece first and then the floor after that. But before I throw in the floor I will have to change some metal in the back where it was very thin.

New pieces

Started repairing some rust yesterday, cut out a piece in the trunk that was very thin and decorated with some nice holes. Bent myself a new piece that fitted perfectly and welded it in. Heres the result, will need some more grinding but I will leave that for later. Also put the dash cluster in place, will need some more work though but I just wanted to see how it fitted.




I went there again today and cutted out the seat raisers so I can start repairing the floor. The new floorpiece fitted nicely and hopefully it won't be any problems welding it in place.

Primed

Now the car is primed with epoxy primer. Must say it looks great, now its time to start repairing rust.

Media blasted

Yesterday I got the car back, looks great. I am more than satisfied with the media blasting, really nice job. Some more rustwork showed up but nothing major. Will go to the garage tomorrow and start to prime it.
